Fr. Bruno Rampazzo, RCJ

Superior General

Born in Campodoro (Padua) on January 1, 1957, he entered the seminary of Padua and then the seminary of Desenzano sul Garda (Brescia) in 1968. In 1973 he entered novitiate in Zagarolo (Rome), and made his first profession the next year. From 1974 to 1979 he completed classical and philosophical studies. After a year of practical training in the seminary at Palermo, he completed the three-year institutional theological studies at the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome in 1983. In 1987, he received a Licentiate in Dogmatic Theology from the Theological University of Southern Italy in Naples.

After his priestly ordination in 1984, he worked in the formation of seminarians, first in Trani and then in Naples. In 1987 he was assigned to the Philippine Rogationist mission in Manila, where he worked initially as a Vocation Animator and then as educator in St. Anthony’s Boys Village – Silang. From 1993 to 1999 he served as Superior of that Community and Rector of the “Rogationist Academy”.

In 1999 he was appointed Major Superior of the Philippine-Indian pDelegation, which he held until 2010. At the Congregation’s 11th General Chapter (2010) he was elected Councillor and Vicar General. At the next General Chapter, 2016, on July 21, he was elected Superior General.

At the 13th General Chapter, July 24, 2022, he was confirmed as Superior General for a second six-year term.

Fr. José Maria Ezpeleta, RCJ

Vicar General
Councilor for Religious Life, Formation and Vocational Ministry.

Born in Quezon City, Philippines, on April 30, 1966, he entered the Rogationists on May 20, 1982 in Manila, where he entered the Novitiate two years later.

The following year he made his first profession and perpetual profession on June 1, 1992. Ordained a Priest on Feb. 15, 1997, during the next five years he worked in the field of formation. From 2003 he initiated the congregation’s presence in Vietnam and led it until 2012. He then spent two and a half years in South Korea and in 2015 returned to Manila as Vicar Provincial and again engaged in formation. He received his licentiate in the Science of Education from the Pontifical Salesian University in Rome and his master’s degree in English language teaching from Manila University Athenaeum.

Fr. Reinaldo de Sousa Leitão, RCJ

Councilor for the Rogate.

He was born in Altamira do Maranhao, MA (Brazil), on July 30, 1983 and joined President Janio Quadros on March 9, 2003. From February 5, 2007, he attended his novitiate year in Curitiba, where he made his first profession. He made a perpetual profession on December 18, 2011 in São Paulo. Ordained Priest on Feb. 2, 2013, in Altamira do Maranhão, MA, he was assigned to the Rogate Center of Brazil. Later, he also became a formator at the Theology House.

He has been secretary of the St. Luke Province since 2016 and also councilor of the Rogate Sector since 2018. Carrying out this position, he took special care of the communication sector. At the 13th General Chapter, he was elected General Councilor, for the Rogate sector, on July 24, 2022.

Fr. Eugène Ntawigenera, RCJ

Councilor for the Service of Charity and Mission.

Born in Kamanyi-Rugalika, Rwanda, on April 7, 1980, he entered the congregation in 2001 in Nyanza. He entered the novitiate in Cyangugu in 2005. He completed a two-year internship in Yaounde (Cameroun) and theological studies at the “Ecole Theologique Sant Cyprien” in Ngoya where he made his perpetual profession in 2011.

Ordained a Priest on May 27, 2012 in Mugina (Rwanda), he was assigned to Ngoya House as a formator, at first with seminarians and then with religious theology students. He received his Licentiate in Canon Law, specialization and “Master 2” from the state of Cameroun. In 2016 he was appointed Councilor of the Saint Joseph Quasi-Province. At the 13th General Chapter, he was elected General Councilor for Charity and Missions on July 24, 2022.

Fr. Gilson Luiz Maia, RCJ

General Councilor for Laity, Parishes and Youth Ministry

He was born in Passos-MG (Brazil), on March 14, 1964 and entered the Rogationists on February 3, 1981 in Passos. He entered the novitiate in Bauru, January 31, 1984, where he made his first profession after one year. He made perpetual profession in Criciuma, January 31, 1991. He was ordained a priest on April 26, 1992.

He later earned a licentiate in biblical theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He worked in Brazil, first in the area of formation and then as a parish priest, a period during which he was an advisor to the National Conference of Brazilian Bishops in the area of vocations and ministries. From 2003, for four years, he was called to serve the Latin American Bishops’ Conference (CELAM) as Executive Secretary in the Vocations-Ministries sector. In 2007, he served as pastor in Bauru. In 2014 he was elected Councilor Vicar of St. Luke Province. At the XII General Chapter, he was elected General Councilor, July 22, 2016. At the XIII General Chapter, on July 24, 2022, he was confirmed as General Councilor for a second six-year term.

Fr. Brizio Giovanni Greco, RCJ

General Treasurer

He was born in Cupertino, LE (Italy), on October 6, 1974 and entered the Congregation on September 21, 1986 in Oria. From Sept. 8, 1993, he attended his novitiate year in Messina, where he made his first profession. He made a perpetual profession on September 8, 2000 in Grottaferrata.

Ordained a Priest on Oct. 5, 2002 in Cupertino, he has worked in different places from time to time engaged in community leadership, formation, administration or management of social-educational works. On October 8, 2020, he was appointed Provincial Councilor for Laity, Parishes and Youth Ministry. At the 13th General Chapter he was elected General Treasurer, July 25, 2022.

Fr. Fortunato Siciliano, RCJ

Secretary General

He was born in Cittanova (Reggio Calabria) on January 10, 1939. In 1951 he entered the Congregation in the House of Messina. In 1954 he entered the Novitiate, in Trani. He completed his philosophical studies in Messina and his theological studies in Rome at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas, earning a Doctorate in Theology; he received Priestly Ordination at Messina on August 8, 1964. During his first years of ministry he worked in the field of formation, in minor seminaries; later he was assigned to vocation promotion; then he worked for several years in the Rogate Center in Rome and the Rogate Spirituality Center in Morlupo.
In 1986 he received the appointment of Secretary General of the Congregation.

At the 1992 General Chapter he was elected Councilor and Vicar General and equally retained the position of Secretary. He also received confirmation in the role of General Secretary after the successive General Chapters of 1998, 2004, 2010 and 2016.
